Tasty Chef Kitchen Flow Planner
Paper-plan the tea corridor and the sushi pit before you spend gold.
This planner is a placement checklist, not a second copy of the kitchen layout guide. Layout explains Build Mode. Flow tells you what to put where so a ticket never crosses itself. Draw on paper or in the grid. Then Save & Exit. If you are still deciding drinks, finish the menu planner first — a Coconut Milk board needs a coconut crate you will not remember to place after the fact.
Build Mode shortcuts that matter here: G toggles Grid, H toggles Equipment Info. Those two keys are confirmed in official shots and recorded on controls. Turn both on. Work in Kitchen for machines, Inventory for crates, Decor last. Return to the tools hub if you still need hardware or menu policy.
Milk tea corridor checklist
Imagine the ticket as a sentence: cup, tea, milk, ice, topping, serve. The floor should read that sentence left-to-right or top-to-bottom. Walk this list with Grid on.
- Mark the pass. The customer-facing counter is the end of the line, not the start. Ice and toppings want to finish beside that pass.
- Place cup storage at the start. Cup Rack or Advanced Cup Rack. One step from the first brewer. A cup rack in the dining room is a joke the rating will not laugh at.
- Place Black Tea Brewer and Matcha Tea Brewer on the same table run. Side by side, same facing. Do not hide matcha behind a plant because the sprite looked cute.
- Place the Milk Dispenser beside those brewers, not across the room. Milk Tea, Matcha Milk Tea, and Coconut Milk all want milk. Lemon Black Tea can skip it, but the dispenser still belongs in the middle of the sentence.
- Place ice at the end of the brew run, nearest the pass. Ice Off boards can delay this, but leave a tile reserved so Custom ice does not become a remodel emergency.
- Place the Topping Station after ice. Max toppings 0–3 are a menu policy; the station still needs a home even at Max 1. Syrup Station / Advanced Syrup Station sit with toppings or milk, not in the warehouse.
- Line ingredient crates on the opposite wall. Tea, milk, ice closest to their machines. Lemon near Lemon Black Tea demand. Coconut near Coconut Milk demand. Restockers with Restock Supplies should hug this wall, not cut the brew line. Duties are ranked on hiring staff.
- Leave a one-tile passing lane if a second human is coming. Co-op dies in a one-tile aisle. Solo NPC staff still need that lane when Take over sends you against the grain.
- Keep Prep Tables as buffers, not islands. A prep table in the dining room traps a deer with a dying timer.
- Save & Exit. Start Service. Watch one ticket. If anyone walks through a machine cluster, Undo one tile, not ten.
Milk tea “do not place” list
- Do not drop a conveyor belt in the tea shop. That kit belongs to sushi.
- Do not pre-place bakery ovens “for later.” Bakery is under construction on Tasty Town.
- Do not put the ice chest beside the Town door.
- Do not stack three Matcha Tea Brewers in a dead corner because gold was burning a hole.
- Do not block the counter gap that Take Orders staff use to greet.
Machines named in official milk tea shots: Prep Table, Cup Rack, Advanced Cup Rack, Black Tea Brewer, Matcha Tea Brewer, Milk Dispenser, Syrup Station, Advanced Syrup Station, Topping Station. Upgrade levels such as Lv.3/3 look impressive and still fail if they sit off the corridor. Two mid-level brewers on the path beat one maxed brewer behind decor.
Sushi pit checklist
Official sushi Build Mode is a different sport. Use this list when Sushi Restaurant is no longer under construction on your Tasty Town map. Until then, treat it as a paper plan so you do not copy tea habits onto a belt. Restaurant types explains why the workflows differ.
- Draw the belt loop first. Chairs sit on the outer edge. The belt is the customer path. Do not start with fish.
- Keep the inner pit for raw work. Fish Processing Station, Shrimp Peeling Station, Preparation Station, and Rice Cooker face inward. Empty Kitchen Counters fill gaps so nobody stands inside a cooker.
- Warehouse stays outside the loop. Storage labelled in the official shot sits to the side. Restockers must not walk the belt the wrong way with a fish crate.
- Plates travel the belt; people do not. If your plan requires a chef to chase a plate around the loop, the pit is wrong.
- Use Layout Plans. The sushi screenshot shows Layout 1 Active. Save a pit design before you experiment. Reclaim Mode appears on that shot — use it to pull a misplaced belt segment without Store All on the whole kitchen.
- Do not import the tea corridor. Stretching Black Tea Brewers around a rice cooker creates walking rocks. When sushi opens in your build, rebuild from this pit list.
Sushi kit from official shots: Empty Kitchen Counter, Fish Processing Station, Shrimp Peeling Station, Preparation Station, Rice Cooker, Conveyor Belt. If a name is not on that list, do not invent a station to fill a hole.
Paper diagram you can copy
Milk tea (top-down, left to right):
[crates] [crates] [crates]
CUPS → BLACK TEA / MATCHA → MILK → ICE → TOPPINGS → PASS
[aisle / passing lane]
Sushi (ring):
chairs around the outside
belt loop
inner pit: fish, shrimp, prep, rice
storage wing off to one side
If your drawing needs arrows that cross, the plan is not done. Redraw before you spend gold. Town Bank will not refund a belt you laid through the dining room.
Flow test after five tickets
- Did any chef cross the aisle against the sentence? Move one machine.
- Did Stock Alert force a restocker through brewers? Move crates to the wall.
- Did two bodies click-fight one Matcha Tea Brewer? Split brew versus ice as in co-op or solo with Take over discipline.
- Did a topping-max ticket die at ice? Either lower the cap in the menu planner or slide toppings closer to the pass.
- Did anyone visit Decor during this test? That was off-task. Decor does not serve drinks.
Gold order for flow, not vanity
- Missing station type (no ice chest is an emergency).
- Second brewer of a drink you actually sell.
- Cup capacity on the start of the corridor.
- Only then Advanced Syrup, extra prep tables, or Style Boutique outfits.
Confirm your PC can hold the overlay before you remodel for an hour — system requirements is the hardware gate. Confirm the drink list before you place lemon and coconut crates. Then run this flow list once. A kitchen that reads as a sentence is the whole skill. Everything else is paint.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for milk tea shifts, staff, and the September 2026 launch.
What is the milk tea corridor order?
Cups, black tea and matcha, milk, ice, toppings, then the pass. Crates hug the opposite wall for restockers.
How is the sushi pit different?
Belt loop outside, raw stations inside, storage off to the side. Do not stretch the tea corridor around a rice cooker.
Which Build Mode keys does this planner assume?
G for Grid and H for Equipment Info. Other actions are on-screen buttons in Build Mode.
Should I place bakery machines in the tea shop?
No. Bakery is under construction on Tasty Town. Wrong tools in the tea shop become walking rocks.
