Tasty Chef Gold Economy

Spend on cups and aisles. Bank trips come after the line works.

Gold Economy

This tool is a spending order for Tasty Chef gold. It is not a price list for the full game — Steam has not listed a purchase price for the September 2026 window. It is a checklist you run in the milk tea demo before you open Town Bank or Style Boutique. Pair it with the menu planner and kitchen flow.

Where gold appears

  • Shop HUD during and after service.
  • Build Mode corner while you place machines.
  • Staff cards as daily wage (shots show values such as 40 gold) and upgrade costs (shots show Strengthen at 45 gold, Upgrade at 105 gold).
  • Town map corner.
  • Town Bank as a conversion between gold and town funds.

A wallet popup after a sale can split Sale, Tip, and Bonus. Tips are not a reason to ignore star ratings. Bonus is a cousin of the Set Menu bonus when the board is short.

Spend order (print this)

  1. Missing station type. No ice chest is an emergency. No cup rack is an emergency.
  2. Walking time. Move milk next to tea before you buy a third brewer. Layout is cheaper than rarity.
  3. Cup capacity. Advanced Cup Rack on the line beats a decorative plant.
  4. One extra brewer of a drink you actually sell. Second Black Tea Brewer after Milk Tea tickets stay green.
  5. One restocker wage if Stock Alert is firing. Duty: Restock Supplies. See hiring staff.
  6. Staff upgrades on Movement Speed or Restock per Trip for the body that walks the wall — not Mistakes per Drink on a greeter.
  7. Town Bank only if the shop is stable and you understand both currencies.
  8. Style Boutique last.

If you reverse this list, the milk tea shop will look pretty and miss tickets.

Wages versus machines

A daily wage spends every day, even on a quiet star. A machine sits on the floor until you Store All. Early gold prefers machines on the aisle. Hire one Make & Serve and one restocker before you fill Shop Team. The 38/38 assigned screenshot is late-game. Recall wanderers so wages stop leaking.

SSR looks expensive because it is. Buy rarity for a stat you can read on the card (Restock per Trip, fewer Mistakes per Drink), not for fur. Rank that on the staff list.

Town Bank without folklore

The Tasty Town pin says Gold ↔ Town Funds. Conversion is the whole job. It will not spawn coconut crates. It will not raise Overall Rating. Open it from Tasty Town after a profitable shift, convert a surplus you will not spend on cups this week, and leave. If you cannot explain why you need town funds, you do not need the bank yet.

Price Bonus and Player Cups

Price Bonus on the hub (shots show +10%) moves with menu tightness and shop settings more than with outfits. Player Cups increment with service. Steam has not published a public conversion from Player Cups into gold. Do not invent one. Treat Cups as a progress badge until a patch note says otherwise.

A gold drill

Write your gold number. Buy nothing. Serve a short-menu shift. Write gold again. Subtract wages you will pay tomorrow. The remainder is what you may spend on one machine in Build Mode. If the remainder is smaller than a cup rack, you are not ready for the boutique.

What this tool will not do

It will not claim the full game can be purchased today. It will not list a Steam price. It will not treat Family Sharing as something you can use on an unreleased title. Those caveats live on system requirements and store status.

Cross-link this page when you share a loadout. A menu that enables Coconut Milk needs a coconut crate, which is a gold problem if you never restock. A flow diagram that puts ice far from tea is a gold problem because you will buy extra bodies to walk the tax. Start at the tools hub if you are choosing between hardware, menu, flow, and this spending order.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for milk tea shifts, staff, and the September 2026 launch.

What should I buy first with Tasty Chef gold?

Missing stations and walking time. Cups, tea, milk, ice on one aisle before cosmetics or Town Bank.

Are staff wages worth it on day one?

One drink maker or one restocker can be. A full 38-seat Shop Team is a late screenshot, not a starter buy.

What does Town Bank do?

It converts gold and town funds. It does not cook and it does not restock crates.

Does Price Bonus replace a good layout?

No. Bonus likes a short menu. Layout still decides whether tickets expire.
