Tasty Chef Equipment List
S-tier is on the walking line. Preview sushi tools without buying them in the tea shop.
This list ranks Tasty Chef machines by whether they belong on a milk tea aisle today. Names come from official Build Mode screenshots. We do not invent extra appliances. Sushi tools are preview-only while that pin is under construction on Tasty Town. Pair this page with kitchen layout and the kitchen flow planner.
How S, A, and B work here
- S — You need it on the milk tea demo line, or a second copy of it on that line.
- A — Real in the catalogue, easy to overbuy or place off the path.
- B — Shown for sushi or other announced shops. Do not drop these in the tea shop “just in case.”
Levels such as Lv.3/3 or Lv.5/5 are upgrades, not a reason to block the aisle. Two mid-level S machines beat one maxed machine in a corner.
Milk tea kit (playable)
S — Cup Rack / Advanced Cup Rack. Without cups the sentence cannot start. Advanced is extra capacity on the same tile of path, which is cheaper than a longer walk.
S — Black Tea Brewer. Milk Tea and Lemon Black Tea both need tea. Put it next to cups.
S — Milk Dispenser. Three of the four demo drinks use milk. If milk is across the room, rating dies. See recipes.
S — Ice chest / ice bin. Ice Off versus Custom is a menu toggle, but Custom ice still needs a bin at the pass, not in the warehouse.
S — Topping Station. Even a cap of 1 needs a station at the end of the line. Boba, jelly, red bean, coconut jelly, chia, pudding all finish here.
A — Matcha Tea Brewer. Required for Matcha Milk Tea. Buy the second tea type after Milk Tea tickets stay green, not as a starter pair unless you already practiced matcha.
A — Syrup Station / Advanced Syrup Station. Real in the bar. Easy to park in a dead end. Place on the line or do not buy the advanced copy yet.
A — Prep Table. Useful buffer. Not a substitute for a brewer. Do not fill the dining room with prep tables.
Build Mode also has Kitchen / Inventory / Decor tabs, Undo, Redo, Reset, Store All, Grid (G), and Equipment Info (H). Those are controls, ranked on controls, not extra machines.
Sushi kit (preview / B)
Official sushi Build Mode shows:
- Empty Kitchen Counter
- Fish Processing Station
- Shrimp Peeling Station
- Preparation Station
- Rice Cooker
- Conveyor Belt
B — all of the above in the milk tea shop. They belong in a pit-and-belt layout when Sushi Restaurant is Current Shop. Layout Plans can store more than one design (shots show Layout 1 Active). Warehouse sits beside the loop, not inside it. Until the town pin flips, these are screenshots, not a shopping list. Compare shops on restaurant types.
Bakery remains under construction. Do not pre-place ovens in tea.
Placement beats catalogue completion
A full S-tier kit in a maze still loses to a half kit in a corridor. The milk tea shop guide has the first-hour buy order. The gold economy tool stops you from buying Advanced everything on day one.
Co-op needs two widths of the same S-tier line, not two copies of a B-tier belt. Read co-op before you duplicate a Matcha Tea Brewer in a one-tile gap.
A 10-minute equipment drill
Open Build Mode. Grid on. Equipment Info on. Count how many S-tier stations sit on the walking sentence: cups, tea, milk, ice, toppings. If any S is missing, buy that, not an Advanced Syrup in the corner. If all S exist but the walk is long, Store All the worst cluster and rebuild. That is the whole list.
When Steam adds a named machine to milk tea, it enters S or A here. When sushi becomes Current Shop, the B row moves. We will not move a belt into S while the pin still says under construction.
More ranks: recipes, staff roles, hub at tier list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for milk tea shifts, staff, and the September 2026 launch.
Which Tasty Chef machine should I buy first?
Cups, a tea brewer, milk, ice, and toppings on one aisle. That is the S-tier milk tea kit.
Should I place a conveyor belt in the milk tea shop?
No. Conveyor Belt is sushi preview gear. The sushi pin is still under construction in the demo.
Do machine levels matter more than placement?
No. A mid-level brewer on the path beats a maxed brewer behind a crate wall.
Where are Grid and Equipment Info?
Build Mode toggles G and H. They are controls, not catalogue items. See controls.
